Axe stool IV

Due to the constraints of the exhibit, I completed the assembly of the stool, though I had initially planned to redesign its support components, which are axe heads, using metal casting. This process, however, would have been time-consuming, and I realized that time was a luxury I didn’t have. Therefore, I’ve decided to design and craft another stool for this project at a later date.

I need to point out a technical oversight during the assembly. When inserting a wedge into the slot at the top of the axe handle, I neglected to use linseed oil for lubrication. This caused the wood to crack under the force of the hammer, raising concerns about the stool’s overall stability.

Although there are several areas of the stool that could be refined, and the axe heads themselves were not perfectly aligned when attached to the handles, the stool surprisingly held steady. It was quite stable when I tested it by sitting on it, which exceeded my expectations.
